# DRD Tactical

## About

DRD Tactical was founded in 2010 in Dallas, Georgia and specialises in patented takedown rifles. The Paratus came out of a Joint and Special Operations Program request for a clandestine break-down rifle, and its name is Latin for always prepared. The original 12 and 16-inch models pack into a small case or backpack and reassemble in under a minute, and a patented internal recoil system replaces the usual buffer tube so the rifle can be fired with the stock folded. The company builds in .338 Lapua Magnum, 7.62 NATO, 6.5 Creedmoor, 5.56 NATO and .300 Blackout, across the Paratus, CDR-15 and Aptus models.
