## Description

The Howa Precision Rifle, built by American Built Arms Company, is a bolt-action in .308 Win with a 22-inch barrel and a 10-round magazine. The black finish is straightforward, and the action has the same core Howa M1500 reliability that the platform is known for.

### Key Specifications

### Features

The 22-inch barrel gives good velocity retention for .308 Win at distance without pushing overall length too far. Ten rounds on tap is enough for most range sessions or field scenarios without constant reloads. The American Built Arms chassis improves on the standard Howa stock in terms of rigidity, which matters for a precision build.

### Usage

This rifle is suited to competitive precision shooting, big-game hunting, and long-range practice. The .308 Win chambering covers most of those uses without exotic ammunition. Shooters of varying experience levels can run it effectively, and the platform is well-supported by the aftermarket if upgrades are desired.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

Owners of the A-Bar Howa Precision .308 Win tend to be satisfied with the accuracy and the smooth bolt action. The rifle performs well at the range and holds up during hunting use, and most users find the factory trigger acceptable, though some mention aftermarket trigger upgrades as a worthwhile improvement.

Value relative to price comes up often in a positive way. The rifle delivers features usually associated with more expensive builds, which makes it attractive to both newer shooters and experienced ones watching their budget.

Weight is the recurring complaint. A portion of owners find the rifle heavier than expected, which can be a factor during longer carries in the field. It's not a dealbreaker for most, but worth knowing before purchase.
