### Key Specifications
- **Model**: Thunder 380 Combat
- **Manufacturer**: Bersa
- **Caliber**: .380 ACP
- **Action**: Single/Double
- **Barrel Length**: 3.5 inches
- **Capacity**: 8 rounds
- **Weight**: 20 ounces (1.8 pounds)
- **Total Length**: 6.6 inches
- **Frame Material**: Aluminum Alloy
- **Grip Material**: Olive Drab Rubber Wrap Around
- **Frame Finish**: Black
- **General Finish**: Matte Blue
- **Safety Features**: Manual safety included

The aluminum alloy frame keeps weight down without sacrificing structural integrity. Olive drab rubber wrap-around grips give a secure hold and absorb some felt recoil. The manual safety is a positive for carry, providing a deliberate action before the gun can fire.

Combat sights give faster target acquisition than a standard notch-and-blade setup, which is the practical distinction between this model and the base Thunder 380. The DA/SA action means a longer first pull from decocked carry, transitioning to a shorter single-action pull for subsequent shots.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

User feedback on the Bersa Thunder 380 Combat in matte black follows familiar patterns for this platform.

The compact size and 20-ounce weight make it a comfortable carry option for most users. The olive drab rubber grips get specific mentions for providing a secure hold that holds up in warm or wet conditions. Affordability is a consistent theme. The Thunder 380 prices lower than most comparable carry pistols and most owners feel the quality is appropriate for that price point.

Reliability and ease of use draw positive comments, particularly from shooters newer to handguns. The .380 ACP recoil is manageable and the controls are straightforward to learn.

Negative feedback clusters around a few areas. The trigger pull is heavier than competing DA/SA pistols, which some users find takes adjustment. Magazine capacity at 7-8 rounds is lower than many current .380 ACP options. Some users report finish wear after regular use, noting the matte black finish shows holster wear faster than they'd prefer. Factory sights receive occasional criticism for poor visibility in low-light conditions.

Overall the gun gets a favorable rating for concealed carry duty with the acknowledgment that trigger feel and capacity are trade-offs you accept for the price and compact footprint.
