### Detailed Features

The heavy contour sporter barrel is stainless steel throughout, which keeps performance consistent across temperature swings and resists corrosion in wet field conditions. The polished chamber helps with feeding reliability, and the target crown muzzle minimizes disturbance at the bullet exit point.

The adjustable Feather trigger can be tuned to suit individual pull-weight preference, useful when you want a consistent break at distance. The detachable rotary magazine loads and unloads cleanly while keeping the rifle's profile trim.

Carbon fiber in the stock cuts weight without losing rigidity. At 7 lb 8 oz with a 26" barrel chambered in .300 Win Mag, the balance between portability and stability is reasonable for a long-range hunting platform.

### Usage Notes

The .300 Winchester Magnum is a proven long-range cartridge with wide ammunition availability, which is a practical advantage over some boutique chamberings. Recoil is substantial. The Inflex recoil pad helps, but this is not a rifle for shooters sensitive to muzzle energy. The 3-round magazine suits hunting use but is worth noting if you plan for range work with rapid follow-up needs.

At a competition or on a mountain ridge, the rifle delivers consistent results. The ergonomic stock geometry and carbon fiber construction make extended carry more manageable than heavier alternatives in this class.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

The X-Bolt Pro Long Range in .300 Win Mag gets strong marks from experienced long-range shooters and hunters. Accuracy is the most frequently mentioned strength. Users consistently report tight groups at distance, and the rifle tends to perform well without needing extensive hand-loaded ammo development.

Build quality comes up often. The materials feel solid, and the fit between components is clean. Several owners note the rifle feels lighter than expected for a long-range platform, which helps during extended hunts.

Critical feedback centers on a few areas. Price is the most common complaint. It sits at the upper end of the market, and some feel the gap between it and less expensive alternatives doesn't fully justify the cost. A handful of users mention the trigger feels heavier than they'd like out of the box, though it's adjustable. Aftermarket support and customization options are narrower than for some competing platforms.

.300 Win Mag ammunition availability is generally good, though some note that certain loads can be harder to find in rural areas. Recoil is real but most experienced shooters find it workable with the Inflex pad. Overall the community leans positive on this rifle, with cost being the main reservation.
