### Features
The skip-fluted barrel in Carbon Gray Cerakote manages weight and provides corrosion resistance. The free-floated barrel design eliminates stock-to-barrel contact for consistent accuracy across temperature and humidity changes.

The carbon fiber McMillan Game Scout stock is light and rigid, with textured panels for field use. The Recoil Hawg muzzle brake noticeably reduces felt recoil in .300 PRC, which runs at higher pressure than many common long-range cartridges.

The 60-degree bolt lift shortens the cycling stroke for faster follow-up shots. The adjustable Feather trigger delivers a clean break when set to the shooter's preference. The integrated Picatinny accessory rail provides mounting options for bipods or supplemental accessories.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

The Browning X-Bolt Pro LR in .300 PRC draws consistently strong reviews from precision hunters and long-range shooters, with a few practical considerations.

Accuracy is the top strength. The .300 PRC's flat trajectory and terminal performance at distance are well-matched to the X-Bolt Pro's construction. Owners report tight groups at long range, and the free-floated barrel maintains consistency session to session.

Build quality gets high marks. The carbon fiber McMillan stock, Cerakote barrel finish, and overall fit draw favorable comparisons to purpose-built custom rifles. Browning's quality control is considered consistent by owners.

Lightweight design at 7.10 lbs is noted positively for a 26-inch .300 PRC rifle. The carbon fiber stock contributes meaningfully to keeping the weight down.

The bolt action and Feather trigger are both praised for smooth operation and adjustability. The 60-degree bolt lift is considered an advantage in rapid-fire or quick-follow-up situations.

.300 PRC produces significant recoil, which the Recoil Hawg brake addresses substantially. A few users who are recoil-sensitive mention still wanting additional mitigation, but most find the brake sufficient.

Price is the consistent qualification. The X-Bolt Pro LR is among the more expensive factory bolt rifles available, and buyers deliberate carefully before purchasing. Owners typically justify the cost against custom rifle alternatives.

An initial break-in period before peak accuracy is achieved is mentioned by a few users, which is worth noting for new owners. Aftermarket accessories specific to this model are available but less varied than for more common platforms.
