## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

Owners of the Elan Artisan consistently point to the walnut stock and overall craftsmanship as the standout qualities. For a double rifle in .450-400 NE, the fit and finish live up to the Chapuis name, and most buyers feel the build quality justifies the price point.

In the field, the break-action handling and 25.5-inch barrel make the rifle manageable given the caliber. Owners note the balance is good for the platform, though the .450-400 NE chambering means recoil is substantial and not for the uninitiated.

The Elan Artisan draws buyers who want a purpose-built double rifle rather than a bolt gun. The common sentiment is that the 2-round capacity is inherent to the platform and not a drawback for its intended use. Trigger feel draws mixed feedback, with some wanting a crisper break.
