## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

Owners of the Cimarron Richards Transition find it appealing as a historically styled single action revolver that actually shoots modern .44 Special ammunition. The case hardened and blued finish draws consistent praise for its appearance, and the walnut grips are well regarded for fit.

The 8-inch barrel divides opinion on practicality. Fans of the style appreciate the long sight radius and period-correct proportions, while others find it unwieldy for anything beyond range use. The single action trigger is generally liked, though some note the quality varies slightly between individual examples.

On value, Cimarron occupies a middle tier between budget imports and custom single action work, and most buyers feel that is reflected accurately in the Richards Transition pricing. A common note is that ammunition selection for .44 Special is narrower than mainstream calibers, which factors into long-term cost of ownership.
