### Detailed Features
The single-action trigger is the defining control characteristic, consistent pull, same break shot to shot, which suits deliberate target shooting well. High night sights front and rear make low-light target acquisition straightforward without needing a light or optic. The distressed finish on the slide is both a cosmetic treatment and a practical one that hides minor wear.

Two independent safeties, manual thumb and grip, give multiple layers of control. The black G10 grip panels provide firm traction and hold up to extended use without degrading. The forged stainless frame adds to the overall weight, which in turn reduces felt recoil noticeably for 9mm.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

Owners of the Dan Wesson Wraith 9mm tend to focus on two things: the distressed stainless finish and the trigger. The finish draws consistent attention. It gives the gun a distinctive look that holds up in collections and at the range, and it handles surface wear better than a polished finish would. The trigger is the other recurring point of praise; the single-action pull is clean and the reset is predictable, which translates to tight groups for shooters who put in range time.

Reliability with different ammunition types gets positive marks across most discussions. The ergonomics work well for shooters with average to larger hands, and the weight, 42.3 oz, actually helps with 9mm recoil, making the gun feel more controlled than lighter options in the same caliber.

The weight is also the main criticism. At 42.3 oz it's not a carry gun for most people, and some find it fatiguing in extended range sessions. Price is the other common concern. Dan Wesson sits at the high end of the market, and the Wraith in particular carries a premium. Shooters who want a range or home-defense gun and are comfortable with the cost generally come away satisfied. Those on tighter budgets or who want something they can carry daily tend to look elsewhere.
