Driftable steel co-witness sights back up the optic and stay usable if the dot goes down. The precision-tuned trigger gives a consistent pull in the 10mm caliber, which has more push than 9mm. Ambidextrous controls work from either hand without modification. The FDE polymer frame stays light at 31 oz while handling the 10mm's higher chamber pressure. ### Usage Scenarios The 10mm caliber and 15+1 capacity make this pistol practical for field carry where large animal threats are a consideration, as well as range and competition use. The Holosun 407C ships already co-witnessed, so it's ready to zero without additional parts. The optics-ready slide and co-witness backup setup suits competition shooters who want a red dot without sacrificing a conventional sight picture. ## Frequently Asked Questions **Q: What caliber is the FN 510 MRD?** A: The FN 510 MRD is chambered in 10mm AUTO. **Q: Who makes the FN 510 MRD?** A: The FN 510 MRD is made by FN Herstal. **Q: What type of firearm is the FN 510 MRD?** A: It is a full-size semi-automatic pistol. **Q: What is the barrel length of the FN 510 MRD?** A: The barrel is 4.1 inches long. **Q: How many rounds does the FN 510 MRD hold?** A: It has a 15+1 capacity. **Q: Is the FN 510 MRD optic-ready?** A: Yes. The precision trigger gets positive mentions for consistency. The optics-ready feature with the Holosun 407C pre-installed is well received, particularly by shooters who already use red dots and want that setup out of the box. The FDE finish is popular among those who prefer tactical-style aesthetics. The ergonomics draw a mix of opinions: most shooters find the grip and layout comfortable, though some note the pistol runs larger and heavier than polymer-framed 9mm options. Recoil with 10mm divides opinion. Experienced 10mm shooters handle it well; newer shooters report it feels snappier than they expected. Price is another discussion point, with some buyers finding it fair for the feature set and others comparing it unfavorably to the overall 10mm market. Customer service interactions with FN vary based on user reports. ## Pricing **1 offers available** | Vendor | Price | |--------|-------| | Guns Com | $799.99 | ## Similar Products - [FN 510 Holosun - 10mm Striker-Fired Optics Ready Pistol](https://gunsnation.com/p/fn-510-holosun-10mm-striker-fired-optics-ready-pistol/UCEt9uL37) - [FN 510 MRD: 10mm FDE Tactical Pistol with Optics-Ready Design](https://gunsnation.com/p/fn-510-mrd-10mm-fde-tactical-pistol-with-optics-ready-design/UCEt9uKN6) - [FN 510 MRD - Optics-Ready 10mm Pistol, 4.1" Barrel, 15+1 Capacity](https://gunsnation.com/p/fn-510-mrd-optics-ready-10mm-pistol-4-1-barrel-15-1-capacity/UCEt9uKMs) - [FN 510 MRD Optics-Ready 10mm FDE Pistol - 10+1 Capacity](https://gunsnation.com/p/fn-510-mrd-optics-ready-10mm-fde-pistol-10-1-capacity/UCEt9uKNN) - [FN 545 MRD .45 ACP Pistol, Optics-Ready, 15rd Capacity](https://gunsnation.com/p/fn-545-mrd-45-acp-pistol-optics-ready-15rd-capacity/UCEt9uL3j) - [FN 510 Optics-Ready 10mm DAO Tactical Pistol - Black](https://gunsnation.com/p/fn-510-optics-ready-10mm-dao-tactical-pistol-black/UCEt9uKMz) --- *Data from [GunsNation](https://gunsnation.com)*
