At 16.5 inches the barrel gives the cartridge more velocity than a pistol would, which matters at moderate range. The 10+1 capacity is reasonable for a carbine in this class.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

The Hi-Point 380TS tends to draw a pragmatic crowd. Affordability comes up in nearly every discussion. It is one of the least expensive carbines on the market, and many owners think the price-to-function ratio holds up well.

The lightweight build gets consistent praise, especially from new shooters who find it easy to handle. Reliability reports are generally positive when shooters use quality ammunition; some brands cause feeding issues, so ammo selection matters. Accuracy is adequate for close-range use but draws mixed reviews at longer distances.

Common criticisms include a basic stock feel compared to pricier options and ergonomics that some find less refined. Hi-Point's customer service and warranty receive repeated compliments from owners who have needed to use them. There is some stigma attached to the brand in certain shooting communities, which owners occasionally push back on when the gun simply works as intended.
