## Description

The Howa M1500 HS Precision in .300 PRC is a bolt-action rifle built for long-range work. The 24-inch threaded barrel gives the .300 PRC cartridge room to develop velocity, and the threading supports suppressor or muzzle brake attachment without an adapter. At 7.80 lbs, it's on the lighter end for a rifle in this class and caliber. The stock is a fixed HS Precision unit with green finish and black webbing, built from a layered composite of Kevlar, fiberglass, and carbon fiber around an aluminum bedding block. That bedding block makes a real difference for shot-to-shot consistency because it takes the stock material out of the equation for receiver fit. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting; no iron sights are included.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

The Howa M1500 HS Precision in .300 PRC gets solid marks from owners, particularly from those using it for long-range hunting or precision target work.

Accuracy is the most commonly praised attribute. The .300 PRC chambering combined with the HS Precision stock's aluminum bedding block gives shooters a platform that groups well from the start, without needing to glass bed or do stock work. Build quality, including the HS Precision stock construction and Howa's action, is generally described as better than the price suggests. The threaded muzzle is a practical touch that owners appreciate, especially those running a suppressor.

The trigger generates mixed opinions. Many find it crisp enough out of the box, but some want more adjustability. Weight comes up as a tradeoff: at 7.80 lbs bare, it's manageable, but a few hunters note that fully kitted out with a scope and rings it starts to feel like a commitment during long carries. Aftermarket support for Howa-specific parts is also occasionally flagged, particularly for users in areas without a strong M1500 accessory market.
