## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

Owners of the Iver Johnson IJ500 often point to the traditional black walnut stock as a standout feature. The wood-to-metal fit on these gets described as clean, which is appreciated at the price point.

In the field, the 26-inch ventilated rib barrel is well-regarded for swing and target acquisition on upland birds and clays. The semi-auto action is generally described as smooth once broken in, though a handful of owners note the first few boxes can produce occasional cycling hiccups.

On value, opinions divide between those who see the IJ500 as a capable traditional-looking shotgun at a reasonable price and those who feel the brand's resurrected name carries a premium over comparable imports. The trigger is unremarkable but functional.
