## Description

The IVER JOHNSON Elite Over/Under in 28 gauge is a lightweight shotgun with a walnut stock and black receiver, suited for small game hunting and clay target sports alike.

### Key Specifications
- **UPC:** 712195498479
- **Action:** Over/Under
- **Barrel Length:** 28 inches
- **Capacity:** 2 rounds
- **Finish:** Walnut/Black
- **Gauge:** 28 GA

### Features
The over/under action gives quick follow-up shots, useful when timing matters. A 28-inch barrel balances handling with enough sight radius for accurate target acquisition at field distances. The walnut stock is comfortable to hold over a long day, and the black receiver finish holds up to weather without fuss.

The 28 gauge is a good fit for upland birds and small game, lighter recoil than a 12 or 20 gauge, with enough pattern density at reasonable ranges. It also runs well on clay courses like trap or skeet for anyone who wants the same gun to do double duty.

### Who It's For
This gun works for newer shooters who want a manageable gauge to start on, and for experienced hunters who prefer the 28 gauge for upland work. The light weight is a genuine plus on all-day hunts through dense cover.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

Owners of the IVER JOHNSON Elite 28 GA Over/Under tend to be satisfied with the fit and finish. The walnut stock gets consistent praise for its look and feel, and most users find the overall balance easy to live with during a full day of shooting.

On performance, the gun is reported to run reliably for recreational shooting and hunting. The 28 gauge caliber gets mentioned favorably. Recoil is light, and it handles upland birds and clay sports without issues.

Criticisms are present but measured. A few users note it may not hold up as well as higher-end over/unders under heavy competition use. Some feel the value proposition is competitive but not unbeatable given what else is available at the price point.

Overall the reception is positive, with most buyers happy with it as a hunting and recreational shotgun.
