## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

Owners of the Rock Island X4 Tact generally appreciate the value it offers in the semi-automatic tactical shotgun segment. The 18.5-inch barrel keeps it maneuverable, and most users find it cycles standard loads reliably once broken in with a few hundred rounds.

Ergonomics draw mixed feedback. The black synthetic furniture is durable and weather-resistant, but some owners find the controls less refined compared to pricier competitors. The stock dimensions work well for average-sized shooters, though taller users sometimes want a longer length of pull.

For the price, the X4 Tact competes well against similar tactical semi-autos. Some owners report needing to sort through ammunition to find loads that cycle consistently, which is a common trait in this class of shotgun. Aftermarket support is growing but not as broad as the biggest names in the segment.
