Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.* > The one thing that I really like Savages kind of pioneered this uh and they've done an excellent job is the Savage ACU trigger. > > — [Unloaded Gun Reviews](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwA3teFvtlQ&t=99s) > It was completely accurate for about 50 yards so the accuracy for this frightful right out of the box is definitely not an issue but of course that's gonna depend on how far you're shooting. > > — [Gunsfor Funn](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_ApRP_LCJI&t=261s) > The one thing I think Savage cut a couple of corners on is they put some nice Weaver bases on but we all know how important rings are they put some very inexpensive cheap rings on there. > > — [Unloaded Gun Reviews](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwA3teFvtlQ&t=167s) > Speaking in the context of entry level there's really nothing there's really nothing there to complain about. > > — [Unloaded Gun Reviews](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwA3teFvtlQ&t=257s) > I've never been a huge fan of the Savage actions but even the least expensive Savages have always had a tremendous reputation for accuracy. > > — [Unloaded Gun Reviews](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwA3teFvtlQ&t=262s) ## What Customers Say *AI-generated insights from customer reviews* The Savage Trophy Hunter XP 11/111 in .270 WSM draws consistent praise for accuracy out of the box, with several owners noting tight groups without extensive load development. The bundled scope is a practical advantage that saves setup time, though some users replace it with a higher-grade optic over time. The rifle is frequently described as good value given the feature set, and Savage's customer service gets positive mentions when issues come up. The bolt action cycles smoothly, and newer shooters find it accessible. On the downside, some components feel more utilitarian than premium at this price point. The rifle weighs 8.5 lbs, and a few hunters note it gets heavy on long treks. Recoil with .270 WSM is stout enough that recoil-sensitive shooters notice it. Opinions on the factory stock's look split between those who accept it as functional and those who prefer something with more refinement. ## Similar Products - [Savage 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP .30-06 Precision Bolt Rifle](https://gunsnation.com/p/savage-11-111-trophy-hunter-xp-30-06-precision-bolt-rifle/UCCOXRaB) - [Savage Trophy Hunter XP .270 Win Bolt-Action Rifle - Nikon Optics](https://gunsnation.com/p/savage-trophy-hunter-xp-270-win-bolt-action-rifle-nikon-optics/UCCOXRa5) - [Savage Trophy Hunter XP .308 Stainless Bolt-Action Rifle](https://gunsnation.com/p/savage-trophy-hunter-xp-308-stainless-bolt-action-rifle/UCCOXRgC) - [Savage Trophy Hunter XP Gen2 7mm-08 Rem Bolt-Action Rifle](https://gunsnation.com/p/savage-trophy-hunter-xp-gen2-7mm-08-rem-bolt-action-rifle/UCCOXRYh) - [Savage Arms Gen 4 Trophy Hunter XP 7mm Rem Mag Bolt-Action Rifle](https://gunsnation.com/p/savage-arms-gen-4-trophy-hunter-xp-7mm-rem-mag-bolt-action-rifle/UCCOXRaI) - [Savage 10 Trophy Hunter XP .223 Rem Bolt-Action Rifle with Nikon Scope](https://gunsnation.com/p/savage-10-trophy-hunter-xp-223-rem-bolt-action-rifle-with-nikon-scope/UCCOXRe6) --- *Data from [GunsNation](https://gunsnation.com)*
