## Description

The SIG SAUER P320 M18 is the commercial version of the U.S. military's M18 sidearm, a compact striker-fired 9mm with a 3.9-inch barrel, coyote tan finish, and a 1.6 lb. unloaded weight. It ships in the standard P320 compact configuration, which means a shorter grip module than the full-size M17 while keeping the same serialized fire control unit underneath.

### Detailed Features
The striker-fired trigger runs a consistent pull without needing an external hammer, and the P320's take-up is relatively short before the break. Because the fire control unit is the serialized component, the M18 can accept other P320 grip modules and slides without any paperwork, the modularity the platform is known for.

The 3.9-inch barrel handles standard 9mm loads well, and the compact grip module is short enough for concealed carry while still fitting most adult hands without a grip extension. The coyote finish is a durable coating rather than paint, holding up to holster wear better than standard Cerakote on some competing models. At 1.6 lbs. it's on the lighter end for a steel-slide pistol.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

The P320 M18 gets solid marks from most owners. Ergonomics come up first in almost every discussion. The grip angle and texture work for a wide range of hand sizes, and the modularity means dissatisfied owners can swap to a different grip module rather than selling the gun. Trigger feel is generally well-regarded, with a consistent pull that most shooters find easy to work with after a range session or two.

Reliability holds up across different ammunition types. Users report few malfunctions in normal use, which matters to people who carry it for defense.

The compact size draws appreciation from concealed carry users who find full-size pistols difficult to conceal. The coyote finish also gets noticed. It's a different look from the typical all-black pistol and tends to generate comments at the range.

Pricing is the most common complaint. The M18 sits near the top of the compact pistol price range, and some buyers feel alternatives at a lower price offer comparable performance. A few users also mention that the compact grip is borderline short for larger hands without a magazine extension.
