## Description

The Taylor's & Co 1865 Spencer Carbine is a lever-action reproduction of the Model 1865 Spencer cavalry carbine, chambered in .45 Colt with a 20-inch barrel. Taylor's imports it from Chiappa's Armi Sport factory in Italy, which also builds the same carbine in .56-50 and .44-40.

### Key Specifications
- **Importer:** Taylor's & Co
- **Model:** 1865 Spencer Carbine
- **Caliber:** .45 Colt
- **Barrel Length:** 20 inches
- **Action Type:** Lever action, tubular magazine in the buttstock

### How it works
Lowering the lever drops the breechblock, extracts the fired case and picks up a cartridge from the buttstock tube; raising it chambers the round. The lever does not cock the hammer, so each shot takes a separate thumb on the hammer, exactly as on the original. The tube is reloaded by turning the buttplate latch and withdrawing the spring and follower.
