## Description

The Uberti 1849 Wells Fargo is a black-powder percussion revolver in .31 caliber, a reproduction of the Colt 1849 Pocket in its Wells Fargo form. It does not fire cartridges: each of its 5 chambers is loaded from the front with loose powder and a lead ball, and fired by a percussion cap on a nipple at the rear of the cylinder. Like the original, it is a single action, so the hammer is cocked by hand before every shot.

> I've had a few cap jams today and I did defang this gun the the issue seems to be the nipples they're just letting too much blowback.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

Owners of the Uberti 1849 Wells Fargo generally appreciate it as a historically accurate compact revolver. The craftsmanship (the engraved cylinder, blue finish, and walnut grip) gets consistent praise, and most buyers feel the quality justifies the price.

The compact size is frequently mentioned as a practical plus. Accuracy and reliability are well-regarded for range use and cowboy action events. Price comes up regularly; most buyers consider it fair for a well-made reproduction, while a few feel it is steep for casual use.

Overall sentiment is positive. It attracts buyers who want a piece with genuine historical character rather than a modern pocket pistol, and that audience tends to be satisfied.
