### Detailed Features

Weatherby guarantees sub-MOA performance on this rifle, which is a meaningful spec rather than a marketing claim. Each rifle is tested before shipment. The two-stage trigger gives a defined take-up followed by a clean break, which aids consistency across shot strings.

The 20-inch barrel is shorter than most hunting rifles in this caliber, reducing overall length to 39 inches. There is a small velocity trade-off versus a 24-inch barrel, but for most hunting distances with 6.5 Creedmoor the difference is minimal. The synthetic stock with black, blue, and gray sponge camo is weather-resistant and adds no meaningful weight.

No sights are included; the rifle ships optics-ready, so a scope is required.

## What Customers Say

*AI-generated insights from customer reviews*

The Weatherby Vanguard Blue Compact in 6.5 Creedmoor draws consistent praise for its light weight and compact dimensions. The 6.5 lb carry weight is a real advantage on long hunts, and the shorter length makes it easier for smaller-framed shooters or younger hunters to handle well. The 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge's mild recoil and flat trajectory are regular talking points among owners.

Accuracy feedback is mostly positive, with users reporting solid groups consistent with the sub-MOA guarantee. The bolt action is described as smooth, and the two-stage trigger gets good marks for feel.

Criticism tends to focus on the stock, where some users find the fit or finish less refined than they expected at the price point, and a few mention wanting better sights or optics included out of the box. Price comparisons with competing rifles come up occasionally.

The overall picture is favorable, with portability, accuracy, and the Vanguard's reliable action cited most often.
