# Rock Island Armory 22 TCM Firearms - Guns For Sale

Rock Island Armory .22 TCM firearms are the guns Armscor chambers for its own bottlenecked .22 TCM cartridge, a .223 Remington case shortened and necked down to drive a 40-grain bullet past 2,000 fps from a 5-inch 1911 barrel. The tag holds the double-stack 1911s (TCM Standard, TCM Premium, Rock Ultra and TAC Ultra in full-size and mid-size frames, most with 17-round magazines), the combo pistols that pair a 9mm barrel with a barrel for the shorter .22 TCM 9R load, the CZ-pattern MAPP, and the M22 TCM bolt-action rifle, which accepts the same 17-round magazines as the pistols.

The standard .22 TCM round is about the length of a .38 Super and needs the 1911 double-stack magazine; the 9R version seats a shorter bullet in the same case so it fits 9mm-length magazines. Check which of the two a gun is built for before buying ammunition.
