Brownells
Brownells was founded in 1939 by Bob Brownell, a part-time gunsmith who needed parts and tools he could not readily buy. The family-owned company is headquartered in Grinnell, Iowa, having outgrown its original building in Montezuma and moved in late 2014. It supplies firearms, gun parts, gunsmithing tools, ammunition and reloading equipment to gunsmiths, hunters, competitors and law enforcement. Brownells also sells complete assemblies under its own name, including .223 Wylde AR uppers.
