Manurhin
Manurhin, based in Mulhouse in the Haut-Rhin, had made ammunition and small arms since 1955 when it began producing the MR73 in 1973. Gilbert Maillard designed the revolver at the request of the French Gendarmerie Nationale, and it was standard issue for French police until the late 1980s. Manurhin left the firearms business in 1998 and transferred the designs and original tooling to Chapuis Armes at Saint Bonnet le Chateau, which Beretta Holding acquired in 2019. The MR73 is a double-action revolver in .357 Magnum, and the range also covers the MR32, the MR38 Match and the MR73 Sport.
