Primary Weapons
Primary Weapons Systems (PWS) is an Idaho-based manufacturer of rifles and components built around a long-stroke gas-piston operating system. The piston design, borrowed conceptually from the AK platform, reduces carbon fouling compared to direct-impingement AR layouts. The MK1 and MK2 series cover calibers including .223 Wylde, .308 Winchester, and 6.5 Creedmoor. Barrels are 416R stainless steel; receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum. Rifles ship with adjustable gas blocks, free-floating M-LOK handguards, and match-grade triggers. PWS also makes Pistol Caliber Carbines under the PCC series for personal defense and competition.
