Puma is a United States trademark owned by Legacy Sports International, which imports and distributes the guns. Lever-action Pumas were originally made by Rossi in Brazil, and the later ones are built by Chiappa in Italy, with the trademark licensed to Chiappa for some of its Winchester-pattern guns. The Puma 92 lever action is chambered in .45 Colt, .44-40 and .44 Magnum, and the range has also covered the .480 Ruger and the Model 92 Bounty Hunter, a short lever-action pistol. Legacy has also sold Puma-branded shotguns, including the Lynx over-and-under in 20 gauge and a 20-gauge Junior pump, plus bolt-action rifles in .44 Magnum.
