TPS Arms was started by Jeff Paulson, who began by making parts for the AR-15 platform before turning to complete firearms. Judging the discontinued M6 Scout one of the better survival guns ever built, he developed an improved version and introduced the TPS Arms M6 in 2018. The M6 Takedown is an all-steel over-and-under with a .410 bore barrel above a rifle barrel, offered in .22 LR, .22 Magnum, .17 HMR, .22 Hornet and .357 Magnum. It weighs 5.1 pounds, measures 32.25 inches assembled and comes apart via a captured AR-style takedown pin, with an ammunition compartment in the buttstock.
