WMD Guns was founded in 2011 in Stuart, Florida by a group of gunsmiths and manufacturing engineers who wanted to bring better coatings to small arms. Its NiB-X nickel boron coating is a proprietary version of the nickel boron process, mixed from raw constituents in-house and applied in a NADCAP accredited facility. The coating reaches 70 Rockwell hardness and conforms to ASTM B607 and AMS2433C. WMD sells coated bolt carrier groups, handguards, triggers and small parts, coats components for other manufacturers, and builds complete rifles including The Beast and Micro Beast in 5.56 NATO.
