Shell Shock and CBC Sign NAS3 Manufacturing Agreement
Shell Shock Technologies said on October 1 that it signed a definitive manufacturing agreement with CBC Global Ammunition covering its NAS3 hybrid cartridge-case technology. The announcement was issued from Eubank, Kentucky, which the release identifies as Shell Shock's current corporate headquarters. The companies are moving beyond the principal commercial terms they announced at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris in June 2026. According to the release, the new document turns that earlier collaboration into a binding, long-term partnership and makes CBC a licensed manufacturing and commercialization partner.
Six calibers named in the agreement
The announced license covers military and commercial applications in 5.56x45, 7.62x51, 6.8x51, .338 Lapua, .50 BMG and 9mm. That list spans rifle, heavy-rifle and handgun ammunition, but the release does not identify finished loads, bullet types or customer contracts for any of them. It also does not say that all six will enter production at once. The concrete event is an industrial agreement for cases and commercialization, not the retail launch of six new ammunition lines.
NAS3 cases combine stainless steel with aerospace-grade aluminum, according to Shell Shock's description. The company presents the platform as a lightweight, durable alternative for military and commercial ammunition. Those performance descriptions remain company claims in this announcement. The release supplies no pressure limits, case-weight comparisons, reload data, accuracy results or lot-acceptance figures, so it cannot support a direct technical comparison with conventional brass for a buyer or reloader.
