Springfield Armory launched the Echelon Pro Comp family on October 13, 2026, with three 9mm pistols: the compact 4.0C, hybrid 4.0FC and full-size 4.5F. All three have an integral slide compensator, the company’s new LightForged grip treatment, a removable steel magwell and a Springfield Grey Cerakote slide. Each carries an $899 suggested retail price. The choices are therefore about barrel and grip dimensions, loaded capacity and weight rather than price.

Three configurations, one price

The Echelon Pro 4.0C uses a 4-inch ported, hammer-forged steel barrel and a small grip module. Springfield lists it at 7.4 inches long, 5 inches high and 23 ounces, with a 1.2-inch grip width. Its package includes three 18-round magazines, producing an 18+1 capacity when chamber-loaded. The model number is ECP9409BY-COMP and the UPC is 706397008758. Those dimensions make it the shortest-gripped member of the launch group, although Springfield does not characterize it as a pocket pistol or provide concealment claims.

The 4.0FC combines the compact-length 4-inch barrel and 7.4-inch overall length with a medium, full-height grip module. It is 6.5 inches high, weighs 24 ounces and ships with three 20-round magazines for a listed 20+1 capacity. Its model number is ECP9409BYFC-COMP and its UPC is 706397008789. That combination gives buyers the shorter slide length of the 4.0C with the magazine capacity and grip height of the full-size version.
