Features

The .450 Bushmaster generates substantial recoil relative to a 9mm or .223, so it takes more practice to manage follow-up shots quickly. At 10.5 inches of barrel, ballistic performance is reduced compared to a full rifle, but for close-to-medium-range hunting or defense the caliber still carries serious stopping power. The pistol format and semi-auto action allow fast follow-up shots once the recoil is under control. Five rounds per magazine is the practical tradeoff for running this caliber in a compact platform.

Users appreciate the .450 Bushmaster's stopping power. It is a commonly cited reason for choosing this model for hunting and as a truck gun. The pistol functions reliably with a range of ammunition, which consistently comes up in positive reviews.

Build quality feedback is generally good; users describe it as solidly constructed and ergonomically comfortable. Some note it is heavier and bulkier than pistols in smaller calibers, which is expected for the format. Accuracy at shorter ranges is well regarded, though managing the recoil takes some range time. Customization with optics and accessories is a popular topic among owners. Price gets mixed reactions. Many consider it fair, others compare it unfavorably to similar platforms. Customer service experiences vary; most interactions are reported as satisfactory, with occasional complaints about wait times for parts.
