The Benelli Ethos Cordoba BE.S.T. is a 28-gauge semi-automatic shotgun with a 3-inch chamber and a 28-inch barrel and a black synthetic Comfort Tech stock. It weighs 5.4 lbs, which is light even for an inertia-driven semi-auto. The barrel has Benelli's BE.S.T. surface treatment for corrosion resistance.

Features

The Comfort Tech stock absorbs recoil through a combination of stock chevrons and comb inserts, which makes a difference during a high-volume day on the range or in the field. Five CRIO chokes are included: Cylindrical, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full. A red fiber-optic front sight aids visibility in varying light.

Usage

The Cordoba is built for high-volume shooting. At 5.4 lbs with a 28-inch barrel it swings quickly, and the inertia-driven action cycles reliably with a wide range of loads. The five included chokes cover most upland, dove, and clay target applications without needing to buy extras out of the box.

The Benelli Ethos Cordoba gets consistently good feedback, with a few recurring notes from owners worth knowing.

The lightweight build is the most praised feature. At 5.4 lbs it handles quickly and doesn't fatigue your arms during long days of bird hunting or clay shooting. The inertia system cycles reliably and the recoil management from the Comfort Tech stock is better than most shooters expect from a gun this light. Benelli's build quality comes up regularly. The fit, finish, and overall feel hold up to scrutiny.

Price is the main friction point. The Cordoba is at the upper end of semi-auto shotgun pricing, and a few buyers note that parts and accessories are less available than for more common platforms. There are also occasional reports of sensitivity to certain lower-powered loads, which is fairly typical of inertia-driven actions. They cycle more reliably with standard or higher-pressure ammunition.
