The Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon III is a 28-gauge over/under shotgun with floral and game engravings across the receiver. It's built around a 2.5-grade walnut stock with a water-repellent finish, Steelium Optima Bore HD Tri-Alloy barrels, and a 20mm MicroCore butt pad. The ambidextrous layout suits left- and right-handed shooters equally.
Folks really liked shooting this gun you know there was a lot of combat or compliments how it's shouldered and just swung onto targets really nicely.
It shoots higher than expected for a game gun.
It's not too lightweight not too heavy it's just that perfect amount to manage that recoil but still have that beautiful follow through.
The scroll work on the receiver is really subtle and tasteful without being overdone and that's something i really like about those silver pigeon lines.
You can tell this beretta is just really well made.

The Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon III 28G draws mostly positive responses, though a few practical points come up consistently.
The walnut finish and engraving work get mentioned in nearly every review. The attention to detail on the stock and receiver is something owners notice immediately, and it's a big part of why people choose this model over plainer alternatives.
Performance comments center on the 28-gauge's balance of lightness and field effectiveness. Shooters use it for upland bird hunting and clay shooting with equal success, and the smooth operation holds up in varied conditions. Recoil is noticeably milder than 12-gauge, which suits shooters who want a longer, more comfortable session.
The most common friction point is price. The 687 Silver Pigeon III sits at the upper end of the over/under market, and some buyers pause before committing. The consensus is that the quality justifies it for serious shooters, but it's not a casual purchase.
Beretta's track record in this segment adds confidence for most buyers, and the Silver Pigeon line has a long enough history that used examples with good reviews are easy to find for comparison.
