Detailed Features
The 1911-22 follows 1911 manual of arms: thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, and single-action trigger. The polymer frame keeps the total weight at 13 oz, which is substantially less than an aluminum or steel .22 training pistol. Black A1 front and rear sights are included. The 3.6-inch barrel is compact but still provides accurate results at typical handgun ranges with .22 LR. The stippled laminate grips improve purchase.
Usage Scenarios
The primary draw is low-cost .22 LR practice with 1911-style controls. Shooters who own a centerfire 1911 can use this to train trigger discipline and manual of arms without the cost of centerfire ammunition. New shooters get a platform with minimal recoil and familiar 1911 mechanics. At 13 oz it's light enough for extended range sessions.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
The Recoil of course is just that of a 22 the ergonomics feel great I think my only complaint of it is that it might be a little bit too small for my hands.
Well I've got to admit I wasn't that excited about this gun it just has a little bit different feel it's just honestly so stinking light.
There is another safety in this gun that I'm not a big fan of there is a magazine disconnect.
As I'm shooting this more the size is really growing on me I don't think I would want one chambered at 45 this size but for 22 it seems to work just great.
The trigger on this pistol is really nice it has a very short take-up and a great reset.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
Owners generally like the 1911-22 Black Label Compact for what it is: an affordable, low-recoil .22 LR training platform with 1911 ergonomics. The appearance and 1911-style handling draw consistent praise. Accuracy at range distances is described as good for a .22 LR compact pistol.
The recurring criticism is ammunition sensitivity. Some owners report feeding issues with certain .22 LR brands, particularly bulk loads and round-nose configurations. The pistol tends to prefer quality .22 LR ammunition, which is common for .22 semi-automatics. A few shooters note the polymer frame gives a different feel from a centerfire 1911 in terms of recoil dynamics, which limits its value as a direct recoil simulator.
Value perception varies: some buyers find the price fair for the Browning brand and 1911 design; others compare it to less expensive .22 trainers. Overall reception is positive when owners select appropriate ammunition.
