Detailed Features

• The Vari-Tech stock has an adjustable length of pull and comb, interchangeable grip modules, and overmolded grip surfaces.
• The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 and ships with a muzzle brake for use with a suppressor.
• Optics mount through Browning's X-Lock system, which uses four base screws instead of the usual two for a firmer scope base attachment.
• The safety is a tang-mounted design, and the recoil pad is Browning's Inflex 1.25.
• The steel receiver is drilled and tapped with a redesigned bolt for the X-Bolt 2 platform.

Browning's X-Bolt line has a strong reputation for accuracy out of the box, and the X-Bolt 2 Hunter carries that forward with a redesigned bolt and receiver. Owners generally report smooth cycling and consistent feeding from the factory.

The Vari-Tech stock's adjustable length of pull and comb let hunters get a proper cheek weld with a scope mounted, which matters more on a magnum chambering like .300 Win Mag where fit affects felt recoil. The Inflex recoil pad gets credit for softening that recoil in the field.

The X-Lock scope mounting system ties buyers to Browning's own base and ring system rather than a standard Picatinny footprint, which some owners see as a downside for aftermarket flexibility. Even so, most still see the X-Bolt 2 Hunter as a meaningful upgrade over the original X-Bolt for anyone hunting with a suppressor-ready threaded barrel.
