The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 270 Win, built around a 22-inch fluted, threaded barrel. It wears a Smoked Bronze Cerakote metal finish over a Mossy Oak Bottomland composite stock and feeds from a detachable box magazine holding 4+1 rounds. The stock uses Browning's Vari-Tech system, adjustable at the comb and length of pull.

The X-Bolt 2 Speed in 270 Win draws the same core reaction as the rest of the line: owners like the smooth bolt cycling and a trigger that needs little adjustment out of the box. Long-time 270 Win shooters moving to this rifle say it handles the cartridge without any surprises.

In the field, the Vari-Tech stock and Inflex recoil pad get most of the ergonomic praise, with hunters saying the adjustable comb helps them get a consistent cheek weld under a scope. Weight and balance comments are mixed, since the fluted barrel and threaded muzzle add some length up front compared to a plain-barrel hunting rifle.

Value opinions again split on whether the Cerakote and camo finish are worth paying for over a synthetic stock model, but most agree the rifle competes fairly against other camo-finished bolt guns in the same class. Because the X-Bolt platform has been around a while, replacement parts and optics mounting solutions are easy to source.
