What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
One thing that i would love to see is just pick one or the other being that they have some m lock just stick with m lock and don't do this half and half thing.
This is a very rugged and well-built shotgun I've put several thousand rounds through this guy now and really put it through its paces and it's still shooting great.
Well i hate to say it but by the end of this day i had convinced myself that this is not a gun that i want to keep.
Super easy to manipulate and in fact manipulating it actually is kind of slick just to be able to lock the bolt back to the rear using the bolt catch and then the charging handle.
As far as trigger pull weight mine is right around that six and a half seven pounds but it's not bad it doesn't have a ton of creep or grit but it's just a heavier trigger.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The Boss-25 gets generally positive reviews from buyers looking for a detachable-magazine semi-auto shotgun at this price point. The two-magazine-included package is noted as good value. Ergonomics with the adjustable cheek piece get credit for making the pistol-grip layout more usable than a fixed pistol grip.
Reliability feedback is mostly positive with standard loads, though a few users note it can be ammunition-sensitive. Some budget or light loads cause cycling issues. The Picatinny rail system for accessories customization is a popular discussion point. Recoil at 8 lbs is considered manageable by most reviewers.
Customer service experiences with Citadel are mixed across the reviews that mention them. New shooters sometimes note the semi-auto gas system requires a break-in period.

This Boss-25 runs like a monster with shells rated at 1300 fps or faster. Despite that performance, it is not too punishing on my shoulder. I keep mine near the bed loaded with double-aught shells for home defense, which reflects the role I trust it to fill. The combination of dependable cycling with the right ammunition and manageable recoil is what stands out most to me. I genuinely love this shotgun.
