The 1911 Government two-tone with a blued slide over a stainless steel frame appeals to buyers who want visual contrast built into the finish. Fiber optic sights add practical value at the range, and owners appreciate having them as a factory inclusion. The 5-inch barrel fits the full-size Government Model profile.

.45 ACP Government Model feedback runs along predictable lines. Buyers in this space want a large-frame semi-automatic in a classic format, and the 1911 Government delivers that. The main friction point is personal preference over two-tone aesthetics rather than function.

Blem examples are the typical purchase path at a lower price. Most buyers note the cosmetic blemishes are minor and do not affect operation, making blem examples a practical option for range use.

I examined the pistol closely for the expected minor blemish and could not find one on mine. It shoots great and has become a stronger favorite than my Para Ordnance 1911. Another example did show tiny marks on the front strap checkering and near the serial number. Its trigger averaged 5 pounds 6.5 ounces across ten pulls when new, which is useful context for the out-of-box feel.
