Usage Scenarios

1. Sport Shooting: Low recoil and an adjustable trigger make grouping practice straightforward at the range.

2. Hunting: The .22 WMR caliber is well-suited for small game at moderate ranges, and the rifle is quiet enough that a suppressor pairs well with it.

3. Target Practice: Manageable recoil lets shooters focus on technique rather than fighting the rifle.

The CZ 457 in .22 WMR generates consistently positive feedback, with accuracy being the most cited strength. Owners report tight groups at various distances, and most find it reliable enough to recommend for both target shooting and small game hunting.

The adjustable trigger gets mentioned often. Being able to set pull weight without a gunsmith is a practical advantage that shooters across experience levels appreciate.

Build quality is another recurring theme. The cold hammer-forged barrel and solid fit and finish give the rifle a feel above its price point, and owners note it holds up well over time.

The main criticisms are about price and availability relative to competing .22 WMR rifles. Some buyers feel budget alternatives deliver adequate results for casual use. That said, the majority of owners consider the CZ 457 worth the cost given its accuracy and construction.

This has become my favorite tool for managing groundhogs. My other CZ bolt actions set high expectations, and this one has not disappointed.
