Features
The gas-operated mechanism cycles rounds using barrel gas rather than a conventional tilting-barrel or blowback design. This helps manage .357 Magnum recoil impulse and reduces felt recoil relative to what the cartridge produces in a revolver. The SAO trigger provides a consistent pull. Ambidextrous safety handles left- or right-handed shooters. Fixed combat sights are practical for a pistol of this size and application.
The .357 Magnum variant holds 9+1 rounds versus the 8+1 of the .44 Magnum variant. The smaller cartridge diameter allows for the additional round. MSRP is $1,710.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
I would never use this just because it's a jam omatic so far if I put a thousand rounds of these aluminum case through it and it works the whole time.
Trigger is pretty awesome um it's not awesome in Rapid Fire cuz it has kind of a longer reset that I anticipated but the breaking of itself is great.
Round shoots really flat as well but it does have some disadvantages particularly indoors up close it has a lot of blast it's very loud and it'll definitely hurt your ears if you have to use it in concealed carry.
I have eight shot 37s in a revolver that works every time all the time and uh that beats the pants off this thing.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The Desert Eagle Mark XIX .357 Magnum generates similar feedback to the .44 Magnum variant, with a few differences due to the caliber.
The .357 Magnum chambering gets credit for being somewhat more manageable than the .44, while still delivering significant power. Owners who've shot both report the .357 version is easier to control for follow-up shots. The 9+1 capacity is noted as a plus over the .44's 8+1.
Build quality and distinctive appearance draw the same consistent praise. The matte black carbon steel finish reads more understated than chrome variants, which some prefer.
The weight (4.6 lbs / 72.8 oz) is still the main practical consideration. Nobody is carrying this for concealed carry. At the range or for hunting sidearm use, that weight helps dampen recoil from the .357 Magnum rounds.
Price at $1,710 MSRP is debated. Many buyers treat the Desert Eagle as a specialty item and accept the premium as part of what they're buying. Others compare it to .357 Magnum revolvers or other semi-automatics and question the value proposition for field use.
Ammo sensitivity is a characteristic of all Desert Eagle variants; full-power loads cycle more reliably than reduced-power rounds.
