The trigger is exceptional for a bullpup pulling at only 3 lb on my scale. This feels even better than the upgraded trigger I had on my Ruger built 1022 that was in my Trek 22 stock.

Alabama Arsenal

This might be the best group I've ever seen with subsonic ammo out of a 1022.

Alabama Arsenal

The only real downside to the Desert Tech Trek 22 for me is the fact that you do of course have to completely remove it from the stock for cleaning.

Alabama Arsenal

Desertech is delivering a superior 1022 rifle to the off-the-shelf Ruger you may put in this stock for about the same price.

Owners of the TREK-22 in black frequently cite the free floating steel barrel as the standout feature, crediting it for tighter groups than typical rimfire bolt guns. The Desert Tech pedigree sets expectations high, and most agree the fit and finish hold up to scrutiny.

The polymer stock is functional and keeps the rifle light, though some owners report wanting more adjustability. The black finish is durable and practical; there are no widespread complaints about finish wear under normal conditions.

The TREK-22 sits at a premium price for a .22 LR bolt rifle, and opinions diverge on whether that cost is justified. Buyers who use it as a dedicated precision rimfire trainer tend to be satisfied; those who compare it on a per-dollar basis against other .22 LR options are sometimes less convinced.
