Owners of the Adam 1911 Cigar report a solid, tight fit typical of a forged steel 1911, and most say the gun feeds and ejects reliably once past the initial break-in rounds. A few early buyers of newer 1911 production lines note it is worth a thorough function check before trusting the pistol for defensive use.

The beavertail grip and full-size steel frame make the Cigar comfortable to shoot for extended range sessions, though the weight means it is not the first choice for daily concealed carry. The single-action trigger and thumb safety are familiar to anyone who has run a 1911 before.

Because 1911 parts are widely interchangeable, owners appreciate being able to swap grips, sights, or springs on the Adam 1911 without special-ordering proprietary parts. Opinions split on the plain steel finish, some like the understated look, others wish for a coated or stainless option for better corrosion resistance.
