The Field Tek 3 is a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun with a 28-inch barrel, 3-inch chamber, and a 3+1 round capacity. It wears a matte blue finish over a Turkish walnut stock, a combination that distinguishes it from the synthetic-stocked options that dominate the category. The gas-operated cycling system softens felt recoil and keeps follow-up shots smooth, which matters in both hunting and clay-shooting contexts.

Features

The gas-operated system does real work here, reducing the recoil pulse compared to inertia-driven alternatives and cycling reliably across different shell loads. The raised ventilated rib improves sight alignment and gives the eye a consistent reference point down the barrel. A single-round mag cut-off lets you swap loads without clearing the chamber, handy when changing from field loads to slugs mid-hunt. The fiber-optic front sight picks up light well in low-visibility conditions.

Buyers of the Field Tek 3 Elite tend to lead with the aesthetics. The matte blue and walnut combination is genuinely distinctive, and it draws shooters who want a shotgun that looks like something other than a polymer-stocked utility tool.

On the functional side, owners consistently report smooth shell cycling, light felt recoil, and reliable semi-auto operation in the field and at the range. The semi-auto action is well-regarded for enabling quick follow-up shots without losing control.

Some users flag weight or balance as a concern during extended carry. A few note that it sits below higher-end shotguns in terms of precision or advanced features, though most consider the price-to-performance ratio fair for what it offers.
