Features
The cold hammer-forged barrel is the differentiator in this variant. It holds tolerances better over high round counts than a button-rifled barrel and contributes to consistent accuracy. Night sights are fixed, so no batteries or adjustments needed; they glow in low-light without a weapon light. The polymer frame accepts three interchangeable backstraps. The matte black stainless slide resists corrosion and cuts glare.
Trigger pull runs 5.5 to 7.5 lbs, which is on the heavier end for a striker-fired pistol but gives a clear break point. The textured grip holds up under wet-hand or sweaty conditions.
Usage
The fixed night sights make this variant specifically suited for home defense or nightstand duty where a weapon light may not always be attached. The 14-round .40 S&W capacity is practical for self-defense scenarios. At 27.5 oz it carries heavier than compact 9mm alternatives, but the full 4-inch barrel gets better velocity from the cartridge. Law enforcement carrying a .40 S&W duty load will find it well-suited to that application.
