Owners of the Affinity 3.5 in the Max-7/Midnight Bronze configuration often comment on the color combination as a standout visual, particularly suited to open-water and marsh hunting scenarios where the Max-7 pattern performs well. The Midnight Bronze metalwork is considered a durable and attractive finish rather than standard bluing.

The 28-inch barrel draws positive comments from hunters looking for a longer sight plane and smoother swing on passing birds. Some shooters find the semi-automatic cycling smooth and consistent across various load types, though a few have noted the need for a break-in period before the action reaches its stride.

Value opinion on the Affinity 3.5 is generally positive at this price range. Owners who compare it with competing semi-auto waterfowl guns tend to view Franchi's build quality favorably, though some note that customer service and parts sourcing can be slower than domestic brands.
