The 28-inch barrel aids target tracking on moving birds. The fiber optic front sight gives a clear picture in overcast or low-light conditions common during early morning hunts. Choke tube compatibility lets users dial in shot spread for specific applications. The Realtree Max-5 finish provides concealment in typical marsh and wetland environments.
Usage Scenarios
- Waterfowl Hunting: The Max-5 camo and semi-auto cycling are a practical combination for duck or goose blinds.
- Sport Shooting: The 28-inch barrel and semi-auto action suit trap and skeet formats where swing and follow-through matter.
- Upland Hunting: The 7 lb weight carries well on foot-heavy hunts for pheasant or other upland game.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
I did practice a couple a few days ago and I did have one slight issue where it didn't cycle.
There's been times where it has not always been the most reliable shotgun but I think most of those issues are my fault.
Super smooth shotgun so we both shot it now it Cycle's incredible.
Guns and sand don't really go together but this thing seems really susceptible to that action getting gum up by the sand.
I would uh recommend this gun I think it's a great budget semi-auto you know it's not a not as cheap as a Stoger but I think it's a much better made than a Stoger.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
Owners of the Franchi Affinity 3.5 in Realtree Max-5 tend to mention two things first: the lightweight feel and the reliable cycling. At 7 lbs it handles well during long days on foot, and the semi-auto inertia action cycles consistently across standard to heavier loads. Most waterfowl hunters find it dependable in wet field conditions.
The Max-5 camo pattern gets positive comments for blending into wetland settings, and the fiber optic sight is noted as a practical advantage in the lower light conditions common at dawn and dusk. Some users mention that the shotgun performs best with heavier loads and occasionally requires attention with the lightest target shells, which is typical behavior for inertia-driven semi-autos.
Recoil management is mentioned periodically. A few shooters find it noticeable during extended clay sessions with lighter loads. Overall opinion is positive, with the light weight and reliable cycling being the factors most consistently cited as reasons for choosing it.
