The Standard Manufacturing G4S Jackal is a .22 LR semi-automatic with a 6-inch barrel and a 50-round magazine capacity. The semi-automatic action cycles rounds without manual intervention between shots, and the extended magazine means significantly more time shooting between reloads compared to standard 10-round offerings.

Detailed Features

The 6-inch barrel gives the .22 LR cartridge enough sight radius and velocity for consistent performance at range distances. Recoil with .22 LR is minimal, which makes this a practical option for newer shooters building fundamentals without developing flinch habits.

The 50-round magazine is the defining feature. At typical .22 LR range sessions where volume of fire matters more than magazine changes, this cuts interruptions considerably. The black finish handles standard range conditions without special maintenance.

Usage Scenarios

This gun works well for high-volume range sessions, training drills focused on trigger control and sight acquisition, and introducing newer shooters to semi-automatic operation. The low-recoil .22 LR cartridge keeps it accessible, and the 50-round capacity reduces the time spent reloading relative to smaller-capacity rimfire pistols.

Owners of the G4S Jackal Gen 4 .22 LR generally come away satisfied, with accuracy and the high-capacity magazine being the most frequently praised features.

Accuracy is consistently mentioned as a strength. Users report tight groups at typical range distances, which aligns with what a 6-inch barrel and the inherently accurate .22 LR cartridge can deliver. The 50-round magazine capacity earns repeated praise from range users who prioritize uninterrupted shooting sessions. The reduced need to reload is a real practical advantage for practice-focused sessions.

Reliability with .22 LR ammunition is a common discussion point. Most owners report clean cycling across different ammunition brands, though the .22 LR platform in general is known for occasional sensitivity to certain ammo types. Build quality feedback is mixed: some owners find the construction solid and the ergonomics comfortable, while others have noted concerns about balance during extended use.

On price, the Jackal is generally considered good value given the feature set, making it an accessible option for budget-conscious buyers.

Customization comes up in community discussions, with users mentioning aftermarket accessories and sight options that can extend the platform's usefulness. Comparisons to other semi-auto rimfires in the same price bracket are common, with the Jackal holding its own on capacity while sometimes trailing on overall fit and finish relative to more established brands.

This has been a great little .22 LR rifle for me. The unusual 50-round setup adds to the appeal, while the simple fact that the gun feels great is what stands out most.
