The EAA Girsan Regard is a semi-automatic pistol modeled closely on the Beretta 92, a platform with a long history in military and law enforcement. It carries NATO approval, which means it has been tested against reliability standards used by military buyers, useful context for anyone who wants a service-pistol-style gun without paying service-pistol prices.

Features

The 18-round magazine is a practical advantage: fewer reloads at the range and more rounds on hand for home defense. The full-size frame gives you a solid purchase on the grip, which helps with recoil management. The burnt bronze/black finish resists corrosion well and looks distinctive compared to a plain matte black.

For new shooters, the Beretta 92-style manual of arms is widely documented and easy to learn. For competitors, the capacity and full-size ergonomics work well in production-style divisions. It is not going to out-spec a purpose-built competition pistol, but for the price it competes honestly against name-brand alternatives.

Owners of the Girsan Regard generally like the burnt bronze finish. It stands out, and most people find the look holds up well over time. The 18-round capacity draws consistent praise from buyers who prioritize keeping shots downrange without reloading.

At its price point, most users consider the value solid. Range performance is generally described as reliable, and a number of owners report good accuracy at practical distances.

The common criticisms are about long-term durability relative to more established brands like Beretta itself. Some buyers have reported feeding or ejection hiccups during break-in, though these typically resolve. A smaller group feels the Regard lacks certain refinements found on higher-end guns. Trigger feel and slide finish are the most cited specifics.

Overall, most owners treat it as a capable, reasonably priced pistol. Those who go in expecting a Beretta-grade experience are sometimes disappointed; those comparing it to other value-tier options tend to be satisfied.
