Reversible charging handle can be set up for either right- or left-hand manipulation, useful for left-handed shooters.

The 8-inch barrel keeps the overall package compact for a 9mm carbine while still giving more sight radius than a pistol-length barrel.

Owners of the Grand Power Stribog SP9A1 generally describe the platform as a solid, no-frills 9mm PCC that runs reliably once it is broken in and lubricated properly. The Stribog action gets favorable comments for keeping recoil manageable in a compact package.

Handling opinions vary with the brace attached. Some shooters like the compact setup for storage and maneuvering in tight spaces, while others add optics or accessories and find the factory sights limiting until the rail space is used. The threaded barrel and reversible charging handle are popular for customization.

On value, the Stribog line is often mentioned as an accessible way into a 9mm PCC compared to some competing brands, and parts availability has grown as the platform has become more popular. Owners note that support and spare magazines are easier to find now than in the platform's early years.
