Owners of the Vandal line from Horizon Firearms tend to describe the build as tight and well finished, with the TriggerTech trigger frequently singled out for a clean, predictable break. The Mil-Spec OD Green finish gets positive comments for a durable-looking coating rather than a plain bead-blast or Cerakote job.

In practical use, the Arca rail forend is popular with owners who run a bipod or tripod setup, since it avoids adding a separate rail adapter. The fluted, threaded barrel is generally liked for its lighter feel without sacrificing the rigidity owners expect from a hunting or long-range rifle.

Chambered in 7mm PRC, the Vandal 2 draws interest from shooters moving toward newer long-range cartridges, though some buyers note ammunition selection for 7mm PRC is still catching up to more established chamberings. Value opinions vary: some see the Vandal 2 as a well-equipped rifle for the segment, while others weigh it against other 7mm PRC options with similar features.
