The Howa M1500 Mini Action is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.62x39. It has a 22-inch heavy threaded barrel, matte black polymer stock, and a 5-round capacity.
The 22-inch heavy barrel keeps muzzle velocity up while the threaded muzzle accepts suppressors or muzzle devices. The one-piece bolt with dual locking lugs cycles smoothly and locks up consistently. Pillar bedding in the HTI synthetic stock improves accuracy by stabilizing the action in the chassis, and integrated sling swivel studs are already in place for a carry strap or bipod.
The compact mini action scales the platform down to fit the shorter 7.62x39 cartridge properly, rather than just running the round in an oversized action.
The rifle works well for deer hunting at moderate ranges where the 7.62x39 cartridge's terminal performance is adequate. At the range it rewards careful technique, and the threaded barrel opens options for suppressor use. The polymer stock and compact action keep the overall package light enough for field carry.
The actions acceptable but not good it's a little rough.
The trigger is okay but again it's not great it's nothing to brag about.
The fact you can hit something say yay big at 110 yards is actually a lot better than I thought it would do.
We showed up here with a lot of really high-end guns this one is shooting as well as the rest of them with basically crap ammo.

The Howa M1500 Mini Action in 7.62x39 has a generally positive reputation, with a few recurring criticisms.
Accuracy is the most consistent compliment, owners report tight groups at medium ranges, and the cartridge's availability and low cost encourage more practice. Build quality gets praised regularly; the rifle feels solid and inspires confidence. The compact mini action keeps weight down compared to full-size bolt guns, which matters on longer hunts. Pricing is seen as competitive for what you get in a precision bolt gun.
On the downside, some users wish for more caliber options within the mini action platform. The factory trigger is functional but not impressive, and aftermarket triggers are a common upgrade. Magazine availability and feeding reliability with certain ammunition brands come up periodically as frustrations. A few owners also note that balance shifts noticeably depending on scope and accessory choices.
