Features

The CT45 runs Kahr's DAO trigger system, which has a longer pull than many striker-fired competitors but breaks consistently. The polymer frame keeps weight in check for a steel-slide .45, while the matte stainless slide resists corrosion. Sights are a fixed front blade with a drift-adjustable white bar-dot rear, which gives some ability to correct windage without tools beyond a sight pusher. At 1.01 inches wide the pistol carries flat for its caliber.

The Kahr CT45 gets generally favorable reviews with a few consistent reservations.

Reliability is the strongest point. Owners report clean feeding and ejection across different .45 ACP loads, which matters most in a carry gun. The slim profile at 1.01 inches and the 23.7 oz weight make it comfortable for concealed carry for most of the day.

The trigger pull is the most-discussed limitation. Kahr's DAO system is longer and heavier than what shooters accustomed to striker-fired pistols expect. Most owners adapt after a few range sessions, but it's worth knowing going in. Accuracy at typical handgun distances is good once the trigger technique is dialed in.

Capacity comes up occasionally. Seven rounds in the magazine is standard for a single-stack .45, so it's not unusual for the class, but those wanting more rounds look elsewhere.

Customer service and aftermarket parts availability get uneven marks. Some users report straightforward warranty interactions; others have had longer waits. Aftermarket accessories for the CT45 specifically are narrower than for more common platforms.

Overall, the CT45 suits someone who wants a thin .45 ACP for carry and is comfortable with a deliberate trigger pull.
